About Prince Diponegoro

Bendara Pangeran Harya Dipanegara,  better known as Prince Diponegoro was born on 11 November 1785 in Yogyakarta He is known as an indonesian national hero. Prince Diponegoro is the eldest son of Sultan Hamengkubuwana III, the third king of the sultanate of Yogyakarta. Prince Diponegoro is famous for leading the Diponegoro war/Java war(1825-1830)against the Dutch East Indies government. The war was recorded as the war with the biggest victims in the history of indonesia.Prince Dipenogoro died in Makassar, Dutch East Indies, 8 January 1855 at the age of 69 years.

The thing that can we sample of him is his bravery cannot be doubted . Even  dared to opposed  the Dutch. Diponegoro's stance against the Dutch openly, received sympathy and popular support.
